This is what the finished growler carrier I made for my Dad looked like. Oak body, wenge divider, bamboo pins. No metal used, well, I did use metal upholstery tacks for the feet on each corner. Pop used it today, brought back some Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, and man was that some serious good beer. The other beer was DC Brau Exaltation, a fresh Imperial IPA, I believe. Very hoppy, quite good, but paled next to the Goose Island.

Awesome little project!

Goose Island makes a few different versions of the Bourbon County as well, a coffee version which is a must try if you can get it. I have one that was aged in wine barrels also very tasty. But I will say the original bourbon county stout is just amazing, and these variations are't always better.

Yeah that Stout is one killer beer, haven't bought any of their beer since they were acquired by Anheuser/InBev. Glad to hear it's still good beer, their Sofie (Saison) and Juliet (Sour) are two phenomenal beers.

This was the stout. I will have to keep an eye out for the coffee though. And damn! That stuff hit HARD!!! 14%, IIRC, and you felt it right away. Of course, you would have a hard time drinking a lot of it in one sitting. It does make an awesome sipper.

I have yet to try a sour. I saw a couple the other day that looked interesting, but I didn't pull the trigger. I might have to.
